Jose is also a non-executive board member of IFCO Solutions, a global leader in reusable plastic crates, where he supports the digitization of the world’s perishable supply chains.

Prior to joining Google in 2020, Jose spent 12 years at Dunnhumby, most recently as president, North America. In that role, he partnered with C-suite executives at companies such as Kroger, Macy’s, Hilton, McDonald’s, Meijer, Procter & Gamble and Kraft to help them leverage data and analytics to optimize customer experiences, drive loyalty and personalization, and improve merchandising and supply chain decisions. He also helped retailers monetize their data assets through shopper insights, media targeting and closed loop measurement.

Earlier in his career, Jose worked in investment banking with BPI. Jose is currently based in Chicago with his wife and young daughter. Originally from Portugal, they are a family of explorers like their ancestors before them. They have been brought up, studied and worked in 12 countries, and their passion for travel and food has transformed into a way of life.
