Shelby Johnston is the head of Google Cloud's North America Channel and Ecosystems team where she is responsible for growing Google’s managed services partners.

Shelby specializes in executing marketing and sales strategies that maximize both revenue and market share in ever-changing, dynamic environments. At Google, she leads the North America Partner development organization, which is focused on growing revenue for Google’s top managed service providers and enabling partners to meet the demands of the quickly evolving landscape. In her career, Shelby has led relationships with top advertisers such as Disney, L’Oreal, HBO, and many more, and she has effectively managed critical strategic partnerships with organizations such as Oracle, Dell, and Sun Microsystems. In 2022, Shelby led her newly formed organization in Google Cloud to double-digit growth and authored the blueprint for its 2023 strategy.

She has held many different positions in her 18 years at Google, including leading the North America ISV business, leading teams in the Google Marketing Platform organization, and others. Shelby spent 15 years leading teams within Google's ad organization before she made the move to Google Cloud where she is able to deliver impact for Google's fastest growing division.

Shelby grew up in Virginia and is an alumna of Virginia Tech. She now raises a family with her husband, Aaron, in Lower Manhattan. She loves doing all things sports with her daughter, Dylan, and son, Hunter. One of her favorite business books of the last year is Adam Grant's "Think Again." She tries to apply Grant’s models to her day-to-day business challenges and believes intellectual curiosity is the lifeblood of all great ideas.
